EpubAloud turns EPUB books into audiobooks using the voices built into your device. No account is required. Ads shown in the free iPhone version are served by Google AdMob (see Advertising below); the developer itself does not collect or sell your personal data.
The free iPhone version shows a banner ad and offers optional rewarded ads (watch an ad for 15 more minutes of listening). The Full Version removes all ads, and the Mac version contains no ads. To serve ads, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as IDFA, if authorized), approximate location, usage data, and diagnostic data. This data is handled by Google under its Privacy Policy and Ads policies; the developer cannot read it.
The app asks whether to allow tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT). If you decline, you can still use the app, watch ads and receive the full listening time. You can change this any time under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
EPUB files you open, your reading position, voice choices and settings are stored on your device only. Text is spoken by Apple's on-device speech voices; book text is never uploaded. We run no servers and cannot read any of it. Deleting the app deletes this data.
The free version's remaining listening time and ad count are stored on your device only.
If you choose to send feedback from Settings, the message you type is sent to our support channel so we can read it. This happens only when you tap send. We include basic technical details to help diagnose problems: app version, device model, OS version, device language, the detected language of the open book and the voice in use. We do not attach your name, email or book contents unless you type them yourself.
The app requires no account. The developer does not collect or store personally identifiable information such as name, email, phone number or location, unless you volunteer it in a feedback message. See Advertising above for how ad-related identifiers are handled by Google.
The one-time Full Version purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store (StoreKit 2). We never see or store your payment details.
This app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
