TinyKanban is a macOS client for Google Tasks. It has no server of its own: data travels directly between your Mac and Google.
TinyKanban asks Google for these permissions:
• Google Tasks (auth/tasks): to view, create, edit, organize, and delete your tasks and task lists.
• Email address and basic profile (userinfo.email, userinfo.profile): to show which account is signed in.
This data is used only to provide these features. It is not sold, shared, or sent to any server other than Google's.
TinyKanban's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• Sign-in tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain.
• Tasks are loaded from Google and kept in memory while the app runs. TinyKanban has no offline task database.
• Preferences are stored in local app settings.
• If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled locally through macOS.
Your tasks stay in Google Tasks. TinyKanban stores priority, reminder times, and Kanban status as text in a task's notes, because the Google Tasks API has no fields for them. Other Google Tasks apps may show this text.
TinyKanban has no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It connects only to Google's sign-in and API services.
Sign out in the app to erase the sign-in tokens from your Keychain. You can also revoke access on your Google Account permissions page. Your tasks remain in your Google account.
TinyKanban is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed at children under 13.
