TinyNetTool is a network diagnostics tool for checking NAT type, CGNAT status, ping, jitter, DNS, and open ports.
All network diagnostic data — including IP address, latency, and route path — is processed and displayed on your device only. None of it is uploaded to our servers.
To provide its diagnostics, the app talks directly to public third-party services: an IP-lookup service (such as ipify) to detect your public IPv4/IPv6 address, and STUN servers (such as Google, Cloudflare, and MiWiFi) to detect your NAT type. As with any network connection, your IP address is visible to these providers during the request, but we do not share any other personal information with them.
If you use local network scanning, the app reads device information on your local network for display purposes only; this information stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
If you choose to use the in-app "Report a Problem" feature, the message you type — and a screenshot, if you attach one — is sent to the developer's private Slack workspace, along with basic app/device context (app version, iOS version, and locale) to help diagnose the issue. This only happens when you actively submit feedback; it is used solely to respond to your report and is not used for tracking or advertising.
Outside of the optional feedback feature above, TinyNetTool does not collect, store, or transmit your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. The app does not track your activity outside the app.
TinyNetTool is a one-time paid app purchased through Apple's App Store. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no ads.
TinyNetTool is a technical diagnostic tool not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
