TrailPop turns your trip photos into a travel video, running entirely on your device.
When you select photos, TrailPop reads the GPS coordinates and timestamp already embedded in each photo's EXIF data to build your travel route on a map, and renders your travel video on your device. Your photos are never uploaded. To draw road routes, show place names and load map imagery, TrailPop uses Apple Maps (MapKit), which sends the coordinates of your stops to Apple (see Third-party services below). TrailPop does not use your device's live location services; it only reads GPS metadata already saved inside photos you explicitly select.
TrailPop also requests permission to save your exported travel video back to your camera roll. This save happens locally on your device.
Your trip data, selected photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Nothing is backed up to any cloud service by TrailPop itself. If you use iCloud device backup, that's governed by Apple's iCloud terms, not by us.
TrailPop has no server of its own and contains no third-party analytics SDK. It uses two external services: Apple Maps (MapKit) for routes, place names and map imagery, which requires an internet connection and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy; and, in the free iOS version, Google AdMob for rewarded video ads (see Advertising below).
On iPhone and iPad, the free version includes 3 video exports per day. After that, each additional export requires watching one short rewarded video ad served by Google AdMob. PRO has no ads, and the Mac version has no ads and no export limit.
Before the first ad is shown, TrailPop displays Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, AdMob may show personalized ads; if you decline, it shows non-personalized ads. You can change this at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
When an ad is requested or shown, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (the advertising identifier, IDFA, only if you allow tracking), approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction and diagnostic data. This data is collected by Google, not by us, and is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Your photos, videos and trip data are never shared with AdMob.
TrailPop itself does not collect your name, email, contacts, browsing history, or any other personal identifier, and no account or sign-up is required. Data that Google AdMob may collect for ads is described under Advertising above.
TrailPop offers optional PRO subscriptions (monthly/yearly) and a lifetime purchase, processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information.
TrailPop itself does not collect personal data from any user, including children. Ads in the free iOS version are served by Google AdMob as described under Advertising above.
